Timberwolves point guard Luke Ridnour is on the trading block and is likely to be dealt sometime before the trade deadline.

The Knicks are interested in trading for Ridnour, according to Alex Kennedy of Hoops World.

Ridnour is a combo guard that fits well in New York’s system, much like the offense in Minnesota. Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd play many minutes together on the court, similar to how Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman plays Ridnour with point guards JJ Barea and Ricky Rubio.

The Knicks don’t have anyone on their roster that makes much sense for the Timberwolves. A third team would likely need to be involved in order to make a trade work.
