The Twins officially placed left-hander Scott Diamond (elbow) and right-hander Anthony Swarzak (ribs) on the 15-day disabled list, the team announced Friday.

This move means both Diamond and Swarzark will be on the DL when the season starts. Opening Day for Minnesota is April 1 at Target Field.

Diamond is expected to return to the rotation by April 12 if everything continues to go as planned. There is still no official timetable for Swarzak, but he is eligible to return April 6.

Despite struggles in Spring Training, right-hander Vance Worley is expected to pitch on Opening Day.
