While there is a belief that longtime Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher would not be a good fit for the Vikings, there continues to be discussion between the agents for Urlacher and Minnesota.

The Bears announced Thursday that they would not bring Urlacher back this season after contract talks fell apart during the week. Chicago offered Urlacher a one-year $2 million deal.

“My agents did talk to Minnesota a little bit,” Urlacher said during an interview with Dan Patrick on his NBC Sports Channel show on Friday. He added that his agents have also been in contact with Dallas and Arizona.

According to Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities, as of Thursday, the Vikings are not interested in Urlacher unless his price goes down.

It was previously reported that Urlacher was seeking a $5.5 million deal, but he insinuated in a Sun-Times article that he may accept a one-year $2 million deal from a club not named the Bears.
