Minnesota Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic will be a restricted free agent after the season, but he doesn’t want to go anywhere.

Pekovic says he wants “100 percent” to remain in Minnesota, according to Charlie Walters of the Pioneer Press.

It is not too surprising that the 27-year-old Montenegrin wants to re-sign with the Timberwolves. Pekovic made similar statements throughout the season, most recently in February.

"“I like everything about Minnesota,” Pekovic said in February via Pioneer Press. “First of all, I like the team. I think we can do a lot when we’re healthy. I like the coaching staff.”"

Pekovic could command as much as $12 million a season in free agency. Minnesota has the right to match any offer sheet he signs.
