After trading away goaltender Matt Hackett in the deal that acquired right wing Jason Pominville from the Buffalo Sabres, the Minnesota Wild followed up with a trade that acquires goaltender Jeff Deslauriers from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for future considerations.

Deslauriers, 28, has appeared in 62 career NHL contests with Anaheim and Edmonton, posting a 23-32-4 record with three shutouts, a 3.24 GAA and .901 save percentage. He made four appearances with the Ducks last season, going 3-1-0 with a 2.74 GAA and .903 save percentage.

Minnesota will likely assign Deslauriers to the Houston Aeros.
