NBA Draft 2013: Minnesota Timberwolves to selected 9th overall

With a Ricky Rubio bobblehead in hand as a good luck charm, Kevin Love hoped to help move the Minnesota Timberwolves up in the 2013 NBA Draft as the team’s lottery representative Tuesday night.
No luck.
Minnesota, with just a slim 2.4 percent chance of moving up into the top three, will stay pat and select ninth-overall in the draft.
Love was asked by new president of basketball operations Flip Saunders to represent the Timberwolves at the draft lottery, in hopes of bringing luck to the franchise.
The draft will take place on June 27 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
