The trade for Justin Morneau is now officially complete. The Pittsburgh Pirates announced that right-handed pitcher Duke Welker is the player to be named later in the trade that gave them the Twins former first baseman Justin Morneau. The twin also got Alex Presley in the trade that happened on August 31.

Welker had a 3-4 record and 3.25 ERA in 61 innings with the Pirates’ AAA club in Indianapolis. He made his major league debut on June 23 against the Los Angeles Angles, pitching a scoreless eighth inning in relief.
