2013 WNBA Champions Minnesota Lynx Parade Information

The Minnesota Lynx are your 2013 WNBA Championships and they will host a parade and championship celebration on Monday, October 14. The festivities will start at 11:30 a.m. with a parade down Nicollet Avenue that will lead to Target Center where the championship celebration will commence at 12:15 p.m.

Following the parade, the championship celebration at Target Center will start with a video commemorating the Lynx season, then Lynx owner Glen Taylor will address the crowd followed by comments from Lynx players and their coaching staff. Lynx radio play-by-play voice Alan Horton will emcee the event. Both events are free and open to the public, Target Center doors will open at 11:30 a.m. for the championship celebration. Fox Sports North will carry the parade and championship celebration live, beginning at 11:30 a.m. And I will be live tweeting from our twitter account @sportingsota with live check in’s on our Facebook page.

Parade: Route will begin on the corner of 12th Street and Nicollet Avenue, stretching down Nicollet Avenue to 7th Street, where it will continue on 7th Street leading to First Avenue North, ending as it enters the backstage doors of Target Center.
