The last time the Ravens and Vikings meet 2009, Minnesota topped Baltimore, 33-31, on a FG in the final 2 minutes and a 143-yard effort by running back Adrian Peterson. Vikings defensive tackle Kevin Williams had two sacks on Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco in the win.

The Vikings are coming off back-to-back overtime games for the 1st time since 1995, including a 23-20 win over their division rival the Chicago Bears in Week 13. Peterson rushed for 211 yards in the win and surpassed the 10,000 rushing yard mark for his career.

And for the third time this season, Matt Cassel will be the Vikings starting quarterback. Christian Ponder was not cleared to return to practice after suffering a concussion in last week’s game against the Bears. Cassel carries two of the three wins for the Vikings, the September 29th win against the Pittsburgh Steelers and last week’s.

Let’s hope that Cassel can make this win number four against Flacco and the Ravens.
