The Minnesota Vikings (3-9-1) host the Philadelphia Eagles (8-5) at Mall of America Field. The all-times series between Minnesota and Philadelphia is knotted at 12 wins apiece. The Vikings won the last contest at Philadelphia in 2010. Vikings wide receiver Joe Webb, who at that time was quarterback, led the Vikings to 24-14 victory.

The last meeting between the two teams at Mall of America Field took place in the 2008 playoffs when the Vikings hosted the Eagles for the NFC Wild Card Playoff game, a game which Philadelphia came out victorious 26-14.

Two of the other moves also deal with the secondary, since that is an area where the Vikings seem to be hurting. The signed cornerback Robert Steeples off the practice squad and placed fellow CB Josh Robinson (chest) on injured reserve. With Robinson out this week, Xavier Rhodes (ankle) doubtful and Chris Cook (knee) questionable, the Vikings will need all the help they can at the cornerback spot against the Eagles’ high-powered offensive attack.

The Vikings also signed RB Joe Banyard to the active roster from the practice squad, as both Adrian Peterson (foot / groin) and Toby Gerhart (hamstring) will more than likely by game-time decisions on Sunday.

Minnesota might be playing without running back Adrian Peterson and backup Toby Gerhart. They have both been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. But the Vikings have made different roster moves.

That included activating safety Harrison Smith from the injured reserve. Smith suffered a turf toe injury during the October 13th loss to the Panthers and has been out of action until this weekend, where he’ll presumably suit up and be in the lineup at Mall of America Field.
