Minnesota Vikings Sign Former Gophers LB Simoni Lawrence

The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday that they have signed Canadian Football League linebacker Simoni Lawrence.
Lawrence played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last season in the CFL, which was his second in the league.
He is no stranger to Minnesota either, Lawrence was a junior college transfer to the University of Minnesota in 2008 and spent two seasons with the Gophers. He finished with 151 tackles, 18.5 tackles for loss, six sacks, two interceptions and three forced fumbles in two seasons.
He has had previous stints with the St. Louis Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and has played in the United Football League with the Hartford Colonials and Las Vegas Locomotives.
