Taylor Says Kevin Love Will Be Traded In August

Glen Taylor shocked the world by talking about the most non-shocking thing in the world. The Wolves owner talked to Charley Walters of the Pioneer Press over the weekend and admitted that Kevin Love will more than likely be traded on August 23 or 24. Yes, that is the time-frame of when the 30-day wait period on current Cleveland Cavaliers rookie Andrew Wiggins would end.

Taylor said in his comments to Walters that this potential trade is because, “Kevin has made it pretty clear that’s what he wants to do.”

The only shocking thing about this is that Taylor talked so openly about the possible, near-certain deal. It’s an assumed fact that the Wolves and Love are going their separate ways, but it does nothing for your leverage to have your owner to say it out loud anywhere in the earshot of someone who could report it.

Side note: if you’re going to say something like it, why wouldn’t you say it to the newspaper that you now own. Glen Taylor has made a lot of money in the business world, so maybe I shouldn’t talk, but If I was running a paper, I’d send those internet clicks to my own paper instead of literally my biggest competitor.

The Love watch is still on, but we might as well sit back and relax until August 23.
