As you probably know, the Minnesota Vikings are just days away from kicking off the regular season. The Vikings will be traveling to California to take on the San Francisco 49ers, a 49ers team that has a new look.

The game will also be the last contest of the opening weekend. The Vikings get the privilege of being on Monday Night Football in game two of the opening doubleheader. We all get the privilege as well to stay up until probably 12:30 central to watch the Vikings play a meaningful game. It’ll be fun, hopefully.

It’s an understatement to say that Vikings fans are looking forward to the game. They should be. It’s the start of a season that has a lot of promise for the purple. Heck, the squad could win 10 games. I said could.

I’ve compiled a list of what to watch for in the game against the 49ers. Just remember to watch the Vikings responsibly. You probably have to work the next day… more accurately like seven hours after the final whistle blows. Isn’t Monday night football fun?!

The game can be seen on ESPN with Chris Berman and Trent Dilfer on the call, the game will be simulcast locally by CBS affiliate WCCO 4. The game can also be heard, as always, on the Vikings Radio Network.
