Minnesota Timberwolves: You can’t even hate the Timberwolves

facebooktwitterreddit

The good news is that nobody can hate the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Wolves are actually “patently inoffensive” according to our good friends over at Sports Illustrated.

SI ranked all 30 NBA teams from a scale of ‘you can’t hate this team because they are cute and are going to stink on ice’ to ‘it’s the Los Angeles Lakers’. The Wolves were ranked the 28th least hated team in the NBA. Only beating out the Wolves for least hated were the Toronto Raptors and the Utah Jazz.

Here’s what Sports Illustrated had to say about the patently inoffensive Timberpuppies:

More from Minnesota Timberwolves

"What is there to hate? The Timberwolves will invariably be one of the worst teams in the league as they struggle to figure out how to build their youthful talent into something meaningful. Their coach is battling cancer. Their two young stars — Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns — are unassuming and driven. Even Kevin Garnett has made himself into a sympathetic elder statesman. Imagine that!"

It truly is hard to hate the Wolves. There is no one to hate on the team. Ricky Rubio looks like a cute adorable puppy, the closest thing to a jerk on the team, seemingly, is KG and he’s not good enough anymore to really be a total jerk. I think the Wolves will win more than what Sports Illustrated apparently thinks they will, but, hey, if no one can hate you, well, you’re winning even if you’re losing.

Go on over to Sports Illustrated to check out the whole ranking and try to figure how the Wolves and the Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets aren’t on the same plane of hatred.

Next: Zach LaVine is the right choice to start!
