When the Minnesota Vikings and St. Louis Rams met last season at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, things went rather well for the Vikings. Minnesota romped over the Rams, 34-6, in completely dominating fashion. Don’t expect anything like that this time around.

The Vikings and Rams are about as evenly matched as two teams can get. Despite uneven records (Vikings at 5-2, Rams at 4-3), the way these teams operate is very similar. This tweet from Brett Anderson of Vikings Territory caught my eye.

In other words, both teams rely heavily on their stingy defense and their potent rushing attacks to wear teams out. Thus far, both teams have been relatively successful. However, something’s gotta give this Sunday.

Expect a low-scoring, defensive, old-school battle at TCF Bank this weekend. First to 20 wins.
