Two days ago there was talk among NFL player agents that quarterbackMatt Cassel was likely Minnesotabound.
It came to fruition.
Cassel agreed to terms on a deal with the Vikings on Thursday, according to several reports.
There is some confusion as to Cassel’s role in Minnesota.
Last week the team said a veteran quarterback would be brought in to back up starting quarterback Christian Ponder. According to Adam Schefter ofESPN, Cassel is expected to compete to start.
Tom Pelissero of1500 ESPNspeculates that Cassel will earn somewhere around $3 million a year.
