The project is over.
The Minnesota Vikings waived defensive back Nick Taylor, the team announced Tuesday morning.
Taylor, 25, is a former Florida International basketball player with very limited football experience against top talent. He spent a season at a minor arena football league before participating at FIU’s Pro Day last year and eventually signed with the Vikings.
Unfortunately for Taylor, he injured his shoulder on the first day of practice last year and was subsequently placed on the injured reserve.
