Coach Leslie Frazier and the Minnesota Vikings have decided that quarterback Christian Ponder will start again Sunday at Green Bay. Frazier has also said that he is cautiously optimistic that running back Adrian Peterson will be able to play in Green Bay through his groin injury.

This will now be the fifth straight start for Ponder, who was benched in the last half of the game last weekend during a rough game at Seattle. Frazier said Wednesday that Matt Cassel likely will remain the No. 2 quarterback against the Packers.

And that means once again Josh Freeman will be sitting out.

Frazier danced around the Freeman questions Wednesday, he opted to say that Ponder gives the 2-8 Vikings their best chance to win. Frazier admitted the spin the wheel of quarterbacks game has been not a lot of fun this season.

Center John Sullivan, who suffered a concussion against the Seahawks, has not passed testing yet and will not practice Wednesday, Frazier said. Wide receiver Greg Jennings, a former Packer, is nursing an Achilles strain and also might not practice Wednesday, according to Frazier, who added that Jennings might be back Thursday.
