When former Coach Leslie Frazier was fired, General Manager Rick Spielman stated that all of Fraizer’s staff were under contract and would need permission to seek out other positions.

But that statement has not stopped other teams from swooping in and taking different assistants:
OC Bill Musgrave (Eagles QBs coach), DC Alan Williams (Lions DBs coach), QBs coach Craig Johnson (Giants RBs coach), RBs coach James Saxon (Steelers RBs coach), DBs coach Joe Woods and defensive assistant Mike Singletary.
And now there is one more name to add to that already long list. On Wednesday, defensive line Coach Brendan Daly is now leaving the Vikings. Daly was announced as a defensive assistant with the New England Patriots on Wednesday.
This is Daly’s second time leaving the Vikings. He worked as their defensive line Coach under former Coach Brad Childress from 2006 to 2008 and came back from 2012 to 2013 on Frazier’s staff.
