David Cobb is Minnesota’s most important player. Today’s game is Minnesota’s most important game since the Sixties. Therefore, it follows that having the most important player play in the most important game would be awfully beneficial for the Golden Gophers.
According to Justin Gaard of KFAN and the Gopher Radio Network, Cobb will give it a go pregame. For what it’s worth, J.G. expects that Cobb will be ready to play. Obviously, a Cobb anywhere near 100 percent would be an enormous boost for the Gophers.

There are also a couple of other late-breaking, albeit less important, developments as we near kickoff time. The first is that the Vegas line for this afternoon’s game has ballooned to Wisconsin -16. As was the case last weekend in Lincoln, that number feels high to me. The other development is the Gophers will be going with their usual road white jerseys sandwiched in between their gold helmets and pants.
