#6: 2011 Jared Allen

Offenses preparing to play the 2011 Vikings had one thing bolded at the top of the prep sheet — find a way to block that beastly right end. It was never successful. Jared Allen was able to compile 22 sacks, a measly .5 off of Michael Strahan‘s record for most in an NFL season. He also set the franchise record for most consecutive games with a sack (11).

The flying-mullet was the bright spot in an otherwise dismal 3-win season. There was simply no way to stop his speed around the edge and overall terrorizing aggression. In addition to his 22 sacks, 48 tackles and 1 interception, he tied and NFL record when he caused his 4th career safety.

Dude was a force to be reckoned with.

"Game of the Year: Allen buried Matt Stafford 3 times at Ford Field in week 14. The Vikings lost the game, but they couldn’t ask for much more out of the right end position."

Check out this GIF from @CJzero. Jared grabs Eli Manning from behind, completely immobilizing him. Kevin Williams finishes the job.
