I spent most of my weekend watching the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs. While enjoyable, I could not help but thinking how badly I wished the Vikings had made the tournament. They are my favorite team in any sport, so the week after their last game is always tough. I decided to write about them again, but write about what? I have already written articles about Teddy, Teddy again, Cordarrelle, Zimmer and the new stadium. I plan on doing more player profiles down the road, but nothing jumped out at me yet. Free Agency and the draft are both off in the distance still. Finally, I decided that instead of looking forwards, I would look back for a bit, at my favorite Vikings players of all-time.

A couple quick notes:
- I am 28 years old, so I am only including players I watched and remember. I love reading about Fran Tarkenton, Chuck Foreman and the Purple People Eaters, but you will not see them on this list.
- Longevity matters. I live in a world where I believe Teddy Bridgewater is the real deal, and may one day top this list. Still, he has only played for one season, so I am going to give him some more time first.
- I kept Adrian Peterson off. Until this past September he would have more than likely been number one. I definitely believe he deserves a second chance and I want him back on the Vikings next season, but this incident has affected how I view him. I’m still grappling with it, so it is easier for now to choose five other guys.
Okay, onto the list.
