4. Vikings Have a Proven Offensive Coordinator… For Once

The Vikings had struggled enough with the predictable plays that Bill Musgrave had, so when the Vikings went out and got Norv Turner as our offensive coordinator last offseason, I had visions of what this team would be like. After drafting Bridgewater, that vision only got wider. Things seemed to be set with Turner as our aggressive, unpredictable offensive coordinator who could develop Bridgewater and use Adrian Peterson in different ways. However, Peterson only played 1 game before getting in trouble and getting suspended, and multiple play-makers such as Cordarrelle Patterson & Kyle Rudolph were not as involved as we would have liked due to Patterson‘s slow development and Rudolph’s injuries. Even so, Turner did a fantastic job of working with Teddy Bridgewater and introducing him to an aggressive pro-style system while still being conservative enough for Bridgewater to catch up with the learning curve. My gut feeling is that with guys such as Peterson, Rudolph, & Patterson in the mix, 2015 will be a bright one for the Vikings offense. Norv Turner will have plenty of play-makers to work with so that this offense can really take off.
