Minnesota Vikings: 5 Reasons For Hope Following 2014 Season
5. The Vikings Should be at Full-Strength Starting Next Year
With Bridgewater starting and excelling without his main play-makers and half his offensive line, it shows just how good this offense can be when those play-makers are healthy and ready to go. Next year, the Vikings will get right tackle Phil Loadholt, right guard Brandon Fusco, and tight end Kyle Rudolph back from injury. The Vikings will also have their superstar running back in Adrian Peterson (barring any offseason changes). After a year of legal troubles and issues, Peterson looks to return to the Vikings backfield and give them a big boost over Matt Asiata. Lastly, I believe that Cordarrelle Patterson and other young contributors such as left tackle Matt Kalil and change-of-pace running back Jerick McKinnon will be able to make adjustments under the coaching staff. If Bridgewater can have Peterson as his running back, his offensive line healthy, and his play-makers at full strength, the Vikings may have a very tough offense to stop.
All in all, with the young corps of players on both sides of the ball along with a fantastic coaching staff, the Vikings look to be major challengers for the NFC North title (and possibly more) next year.
