A Goalie From Buffalo

According to Russo, the Buffalo Sabres may be willing to part with either Michal Neuvirth or Jhonas Enroth. Enroth has gotten the majority of the playing time, but the goalies have very similar numbers. They both have worse goals against averages than Kuemper and Backstrom but better save percentages than both, which is indicative of playing on a worse defensive team. Obviously, the encouraging part would be the higher save percentages. The other positive is that the price to get one of the two would be less than other options. Much like Brodeur though, I’m just not sure it would represent enough of an upgrade to make it worth Minnesota’s time. It will only be worth it to give up assets if the goalie brought aboard represents a better option than the guys already in Minnesota. Still, if they cannot land my favorite option, this could certainly be a fallback if the price is right.
