The Oakland Raiders got their QB in last year’s draft with Derek Carr and are quietly building a formidable defense. However, Derek Carr needs some weapons to throw to in order to take the next step. Enter Amari Cooper. Cooper isn’t the quickest, strongest, flashiest WR you will find, but he’s probably the most reliable WR. He just makes plays, and he will do just that for Oakland.

5. Washington Redskins

Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame

The Redskins need some secondary help, but I think they can address that in the later rounds and via free agency. Their first order of business in this year’s draft is to get some protection. As we’ve seen the last 3 years, Robert Griffin needs some protection in order to succeed, otherwise he’s just a walking injury. Not all hope is lost on Robert Griffin, and in order to find his full potential the Redskins need to protect him from any further injuries. Ronnie Stanley is a great protector on the outside, and he will do just that for RG3.

 6. New York Jets

Vic Beasley, DE/OLB, Clemson

Believe it or not, I don’t see Jamies Winston being drafted here. I don’t think the Jets are quite ready to give up on Geno Smith, and why should they? Smith showed signs of serious development in the last quarter of the season and he is only in his second season. Quarterbacks need 3-4 years to show their true skill and ability, so let’s all give Geno one more year at the very least. The Jets, however, do need more pass rushers, and what better way to fix it then with one of the better pass rushers in this year’s draft? Vic Beasley has a chance to be real, real good, and with an already strong inside defense (Sheldon Richardson, Muhammad Wilkerson) the Jets could form a strong rushing defense for years to come.
