Many could say that if Jay Cutler is traded, Jameis Winston would be perfect here, but I’m not going to be hypothetical quite yet. The Chicago Bears are in extreme turmoil, but let’s not forget that they’ve drafted well the last couple years. They’ve drafted a stud Wideout in Alshon Jeffery, an offensive lineman in Kyle Long, a very promising corner in Kyle Fuller, and now they will add to that by getting another secondary guy. Collins has the instincts, toughness, & coverage skills to be a stud Safety in this league. By drafting him, the bears will have a nice couple young guys in the secondary with Fuller & Collins.
8. Atlanta Falcons
Shane Ray, OLB/DE, Missouri
The Atlanta Falcons need defensive help everywhere, and getting a strong pass rusher would help at least put pressure on the other team’s QB. Building a defense should start with a pass rusher, because a pass rusher makes tackles and hurries the QB into making mistakes. A good pass rusher makes everyone better, especially the secondary. Shane Ray possesses the talent to hurry quarterbacks such as Drew Brees & Cam Newton who are in the same division.
9. New York Giants
Brandon Scherff, LT, Iowa
Eli Manning needs some protection, and Scherff is a big tackle who can throw defensive players into the ground. Scherff is a violent tackle, and the Giants need that after the beating that Manning has taken over the last couple years.
