My Top-4 Future Vikings We Just Might Pick at Number 11

2. Landon Collins
Currently projected the #11 pick, Landon Collins would be a wonderful upgrade at the safety position opposite Harrison Smith. A move that would dramatically improve the Vikings’ deep defensive backfield, bringing in the top-rated SS is a very appealing scenario for the Vikings defense.
In some mock drafts, Collins has dropped from a top-5 pick to 15-20. But don’t give this much worth, as Alabama’s loss to Ohio State had a lot to do with it. I value his 173 tackles and 5 interceptions in the SEC much more than the knee-jerk reactions that have dropped him.
One problem: several teams need safety help. If Collins is there at 11 and Parker isn’t, I wan’t him in purple.
