It is possible that the Vikings will attempt to fortify their offensive line through free agency. Their biggest need is at left guard and the biggest free agent offensive lineman this year just so happens to be a guard. Mike Iupati is 27 years old and has played five successful seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. The competition for his services promises to be stiff, so if Rick Spielman and Mike Zimmer are to be believed that would suggest it to be unlikely that Iupati ends up in purple.

Iupati is not the only name to watch. Orlando Franklin is a converted guard who previously played tackle. It does not sound like he will be in John Elway‘s plans moving forward. Clint Boling is only 25 years old and figures to receive a lot of attention if the Cincinnati Bengals do not bring him back. I would be surprised if the Vikings brought a tackle aboard in free agency. The starters for this year are already in place and the draft seems like a more likely place for them to find depth.
