Cooper seems to be the favorite to be the first of the receivers off the board in the draft. At 6’1″ and 210 pounds, Cooper has the size necessary to be an NFL receiver. His most valuable strength is his quickness. Cooper is excellent at getting off the line of scrimmage and burn a corner, while also being able to elude defenders in open space at a high level. This quickness also allows him to separate from defensive backs much more successfully, a skill that is very valuable in the NFL. Cooper’s one glaring weakness is that he tends to drop quite a few balls. However, we have seen some of the great receivers in the league struggle with the same problem, so Cooper should be able to improve on that area. Providing Bridgewater with a possible go-to type receiver would be huge, and Cooper is a candidate for that role.
