Josh Harding: 2013-2014

We don’t have to go back very far for our next best goalie performance. It was Josh Harding in 2013-2014.

Yes, he only saw action in 29 games, but he made them count and kept the season afloat. Harding made 26 starts, finishing with a record of 18-7-3, a .933 SV% and a 1.65 GAA.

He was unable to compete in the post-season due to ongoing complications with MS, but Josh Harding stepped in when the team desperately needed solid goaltending and delivered. In fact, his numbers were very comparable to those of Devan Dubnyk’s with the Wild this season.

What can we learn from Dubnyk and Harding’s step-in performances? Not to take anything away from them, but Mike Yeo’s system combined with the excellent players they’ve acquired allow confident goaltenders to thrive.
