More from Minnesota Vikings

5.       Washington Redskins: Shane Ray, OLB, Missouri – The Redskins, like many teams in the first round, are going to strike on the valuable pass rush available. Shane Ray is a very good replacement for Brian Orakpo, who went to the Titans last week.

6.       New York Jets: Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson – The string of pass rushers continues, as the Jets also take a pass rusher. The Jets have the looks of a solid defense with Richardson & Wilkerson up the middle and Darrelle Revis coming back, but they’re missing a pass rusher off the edge. Vic Beasley is a beast, and he will make an instant impact. I know many people would think Mariota here, but my bet is he falls and that the Jets give Geno Smith another year to show what he’s worth.

7.       Chicago Bears: Kevin White, WR, West Virginia – The Bears have a bunch of holes on defense, but they also lost Brandon Marshall this off-season in a trade. While Wide Receiver isn’t a huge need given the fact that they have Alshon Jeffery, it would make the passing game more effective if they can fill the void that Marshall left. White is the most talented receiver in the draft, and this pick is simply a value pick that they cannot pass up on.

8.       Atlanta Falcons: Bud Dupree, OLB, Kentucky – Dupree helped his draft stock by having a great pro day. A team like the Falcons really needs a pass rusher, and as I mentioned this draft is full of them. It’s very rare that this many pass rushers get taken this early, but so many teams at the top of the draft are in need of one. The Falcons have a good offense, now it’s time to boost their defense.
