  1. Donovan McNabb

I already took my cheap shot on McNabb and why his name is the news, so I’ll tell you what I was drinking: I was drinking the Kool-Aid. I was throwing back the McNabb shots like they were going out of style and it was a total flop.

McNabb had the wonderful job of being the guy after Favre. Even ignoring the horrid second year Favre had with the Vikings, it’s pretty tough to follow in that guy’s footsteps and, yes, I am trying to ignore Aaron Rodgers for the moment.

In a former writing life, I even scribbled down that McNabb might lead the Minnesota Vikings back to the playoffs… McNabb didn’t last the entire season. McNabb made six starts for the Vikings in 2011 before being benched for the then quarterback of the future Christian Ponder.

McNabb is underrated for his whole career, especially his time in Philadelphia, but he was the opposite of good with the Vikings. I’d give you the real word I’m thinking of, but I’d probably throw it behind you and end up at your feet.
