Minnesota Vikings Invite Press To New Stadium To Put Up A Sign

Do you like the Minnesota Vikings? Do you like publicity stunts? If you answered yes to both of those questions, well, then do I have a deal for you. Monday was a random day in the course of the world and the Vikings decided to have the media over to tour the new stadium which is now at 65% completed. Way to build things!
Everything was in the press tour! A countdown clock!

Also with the Twin Cities press all assembled at the stadium, it was really a convenient time to put up the sign saying who bought the naming rights to get U.S. Bank some free advertising on the local channels.

All of this was made up for with the mere fact that Dana Wessel was in attendance and told us all about the fire extinguisher, bathroom and microwave situation in the future home of the Minnesota Vikings.
The new stadium has a fire extinguisher. So that's cool pic.twitter.com/6mKpnaF4ko

The new stadium also has a convenient bathroom on the field for players. pic.twitter.com/DzcYOHYDrF

Another one of the cool features of the new stadium is the microwaves for people who bring food from home. pic.twitter.com/aJMtksUGzd

I apologize for the tone of this piece, but I feel as if we get an update on the new stadium every two weeks which really isn’t necessary. The new stadium is needed because the Metrodome was behind the times, but, boy, does the NFL love getting free publicity from us suckers.
Here’s a couple notes from the Star Tribune’s Master Tesfatsion that actually are important to the progress of the new addition:
#Vikings are one year away from the completion of the new stadium. Roughly 40,000 of the 49,000 seats available have been sold.

They'll begin to install seats in the new #Vikings stadium in early August.

We are just that much closer to having Monster Truck rallies in the state of Minnesota again, folks!
