Minnesota Vikings: Turner Says Adrian Peterson Is Ahead Of Everybody
Last week I presented a philosophy about Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson that I call the Taylor Swift Philosophy. The philosophy has really little to do with Swift personally, but focuses on a specific line in one of her latest smashes ‘Blank Space’.
The line being ‘it’s gonna be forever or it’s gonna go down in flames’. Which is what I predict for Peterson’s 2015 season, either in the MVP conversation or he’ll be overwhelmed and therefore underwhelming on the field for the purple.
Put Offensive Coordinator Norv Turner in the ‘it’s gonna be fovever’ category.
Turner said that Peterson is way ahead of everybody else when he is out on the field. The question of Peterson’s readiness comes from Peterson not being very accustomed to Turner’s scheme after the running back only appeared in one game last season.

Turner also said that he thinks the scheme is overrated and that Peterson has put in a lot of time with running backs coach Kirby Wilson to catch up on any playbook things that he might be behind on.
Obviously, Turner and the Vikings are not going to totally put down Peterson. That doesn’t do anything for Peterson’s confidence or for the rest of the team or its fans, but the Vikings are being really supportive of everybody. Down in Mankato, Turner also talked about quarterback Teddy Bridgewater being a top-flight QB.
Ahead of everybody else is a pretty big statement to make and if it’s true, the Vikings are set up to be pretty darn good. Some of the talk is team positivity, sure, but the statements are so big that you have to think the Vikings think they are true.
