It is the preseason which means it is Audie Cole’s time to shine. The preseason is the reason Audi Cole made the Vikings a couple seasons ago, he impressed so many and pretty sure he almost gave Paul Allen a heart attack, but that’s common anytime a Viking does anything vaguely positive.

Cole is currently in a Battle Royale for the starting middle linebacker spot with rookie Eric Kendricks. No matter who gets the gig as starter, it sure looks like both will be getting a good amount of playing time as our brethren over at The Viking Age points out.

Last season, Cole played in 16 games for the Vikings and started one. He recorded 22 tackles on the year with 11 of those being in the final game of the season against the Chicago Bears. Let’s see if Cole can keep that hot streak going right into the 2015 season and the Hall of Fame Game.
