Football being back!

This all means one thing and we talked about it way at the beginning of this little adventure: football is back and that’s exciting in itself. Sure, the preseason doesn’t matter, but it’s an okay appetizer for a meal that always goes down great and, most of the time, way too quickly.

Football being back doesn’t just pertain to the Vikings. The preseason starting means we are that much closer to high school football games across this great state, the Gophers firing up and they look to be competitive in the Big Ten once again, plus all the other NFL action that we can find on out video devices.

I will admit that football is not my number one sport, I know a whole lot more about baseball and basketball, but I also get way too excited about football. There is something special about this sport and we should soak it in before this game dramatically changes, because someday that will happen. Guys are getting bigger and faster and that doesn’t add up well in the environment we currently live in.

Ignore that sadness and just enjoy the football. The majority will be third-string football, but football nonetheless.
