Minnesota Vikings Lead NFL In Arrests In Last Five Years And Since 2000

The Minnesota Vikings won their first preseason game on Sunday taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers, but that’s not the only thing they’ve won in the recent past. The Vikings are also the team with the most arrests in the NFL when looking at the past five years and since 2010.

The Vikings have 18 arrests to brag about in the last five years which is well above the league average. Only eight other teams have over ten arrests in the last five years with only the Denver Broncos also going over the 15 mark. The Broncos currently sit at 16 arrests.

Since 2000 the Vikings have 17 DUI arrests, seven disorderly conduct arrests, six drug arrests, five sexual assaults, a reckless driving arrest for Randy Moss, a child abuse arrest for Adrian Peterson and that’s just the tip of the ice berg.

The site Point After has a database of NFL arrests dating back to 2000, so you can look up all of your favorite NFL arrests by charge or team and sort by date.

You can be reminded of the Mount Rushmore of Love Boat arrests of Daunte Culpepper, Moe Williams, Fred Smoot and Bryant McKinnie. December 15, 2005 – the day that Lake Minnetonka lost its’s innocence.

Some of other fun facts, probably more not so fun in the grand scheme of things, are the other arrests that can be found from around the league like Richard Seigler, formerly of the Pittsburgh Steelers, being arrested for pimping and the really sad fact that four NFLers have been arrested for murder.

So it could be worse for the Vikings.
