Minnesota Twins release 2016 regular season schedule
I have this day marked on my calendar for almost a year now and that’s because tonight is finally the debut of Stephen Colbert’s Late Show on CBS, but other news came down the calendar line on Tuesday. The Minnesota Twins have announced their 2016 regular season schedule! Yep, we don’t know if the Twins will make the playoffs this year, but we do know who’ll they play in the middle of May next season. Woo-hoo!
The Twins will open up the regular season in Baltimore on Monday April 4 to take on the Orioles. Tuesday is an off day then a continuation of the three-game set with Baltimore. The Twins then go to Kansas City for three before coming home for their season opener.
The home opener is against the Chicago White Sox. It’s a three game set with the White Sox before a weekend series with the Los Angeles Angels. The following Monday and Tuesday is a two-game set against the Milwaukee Brewers. Apparently, MLB forgot again that the Twins and Brewers like this on a weekend and not a Monday in April.
