Game 4 – @ Denver Broncos
I must admit that I love Peyton Manning. In my younger days, which weren’t really that long ago, when I was big into collecting cards, I had two guys that I always went after: Peyton Manning and Brett Favre. I think I made good decisions there.
The main issue here is that Manning didn’t look great in the preseason and is, obviously, another year older. As much as the Peyton fan in me wants to believe that he will play forever, it’s just not possible. He isn’t going to retire and unretire a million times like that other guy that I loved to collect.
If Manning is healthy, he is going to beat the Vikings. Manning is the smartest guy to ever play in the NFL and he should be able to confuse a fairly young Vikings defense. There’s a whole lot of talent that I love on the Vikings defense, but there is a whole lot of experience under that orange number 18 jersey.
The Broncos will win assuming the guy I bought a plaque of, a month ago, that has five cards on it is healthy.
Vikings lose
Next: Mmm... Barbecue.
