Game 5 – vs. Kansas City Chiefs

This will be the game after the Vikings bye week. A week five bye week isn’t exactly ideal, but the Vikings will then be rested up and ready to go against a Chiefs team that finished second to the Broncos in the AFC West a year ago.

I have faith that in game immediately following a bye week that Mike Zimmer and Norv Turner will have the game so planned out that the Vikings will be an unstoppable force on both sides of the ball. That is, of course, if they can contain Jamaal Charles.

Charles is to the AFC what Peterson should be to the NFC. If you can stop him, well, you got a chance, but if you don’t, good luck to you. I think the Vikings can hold Charles down enough and have an offensive plan so fine-tuned to win the game, but it’s going to be another close one.

In a year that looks to be full of close matchups, the Vikings win again at home.
