‘Niners better than we thought?

On Monday morning, I was listening to 1500ESPN’s Mackey and Judd and it was brought up if we, as a public, are now overlooking Colin Kaepernick. I think we might be. Kaepernick didn’t have an amazing game, he went 17/26 for 165 yards with a QB rating of 83.0, but he looked decent.

Carlos Hyde looked like he’s a legit NFL running back. The spin move that Hyde spun to score on the Vikings defense was something straight out of Madden 16. He went for 168 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. Hyde had the kind of night most were expecting from Adrian Peterson.

The defense looked better than expected for the 49ers, too. Most thought that the Vikings would at least put up 20 points, but the offense didn’t put up any points and never really got going to any extent in the game.

I think in the long run that the Vikings are a better team than the 49ers, but it might also be true that the Vikings aren’t as good as we thought they’d be and the 49ers are a little better.
