Minnesota Vikings announce installation of breastfeeding pods
The Minnesota Vikings have been making headlines the past couple of days due to some interesting things that are not exactly football related. Monday it was Ragnar wanting a lot of money and Tuesday it’s breastfeeding ‘suites’.
The Vikings announced on Tuesday afternoon that they will be the first NFL franchise to install Mamava lactation suites, which looks like a supped up port-a-potty that you can place in the hallway based on the pictures on the Vikings website.
These pods are being installed by the Vikings in multiple locations. They will be at Winter Park, the downtown Minneapolis offices for the team, the new U.S. Bank Stadium and it will be coming to TCF Bank Stadium this stadium. The team says the pods should be ready to go by the October 18 home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The press release says the suite is 4-foot by 8-foot and has comfortable benches and electrical outlets to plug in breast pumps. The pods will be portable for easy movement throughout the stadium.

A co-founder of Mamava, Sascha Mayer, also released a statement:

We believe that all mamas deserve a safe, clean and comfortable place to use a breast pump or breastfeed – anywhere, anytime. Mamava pods provide flexibility for facilities and easy access for moms.”"
The pods will also be available during Minnesota Golden Gopher football games after installation.
