Minnesota Vikings: Adrian Peterson is back
He’s back. Adrian Peterson is officially back for the Minnesota Vikings.
During Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers, it looked like old school Adrian Peterson once again. It looked like Adrian Peterson was back to being the best running back in the NFL. While that may be totally possible, his performance also might’ve been assisted by a pretty bland Chargers run defense.
Peterson received 20 carries on Sunday and ran for 126 yards and two touchdowns. Peterson would have notched three if the Vikings hadn’t decided to give the ball to Zach Line the ball again for a goal line run. Can’t really complain about that decision though, Line has two carries for two touchdowns so far this season.

The wonderful thing is that Peterson looked good. He has improved in every game so far for the Vikings this season which isn’t shocking, but it was a question of how much Peterson would come back to being.
Peterson didn’t play in the preseason and after not playing virtually all of last season; we knew that there would be rust to start. It looks like that rust has been knocked off and Peterson is back to running nice and smoothly.
Maybe the ride won’t be as smooth against a much better defense in the Denver Broncos this upcoming week. Either way, it’s safe to say that Adrian Peterson is back for the Minnesota Vikings. He is back to the level where Vikings fans should be expecting big things each and every week from Adrian.
Welcome back, Adrian. The Vikings need you.
