Great starting pitching

I knew this would happen. If we flash-back to the beginning of the September, Ervin Santana was not doing so hot for the Twins. He looked like another big wasted contract which has become a theme for the Twins in the last couple seasons, but right before Labor Day, Santana started clicking and he has been pretty solid ever since. The problem is Santana is suspended for the playoffs.

Sure, the Twins need to get there first, but it is such a Minnesota sports thing to have happen.

To get to the playoffs the Twins need to get continued great, or at least really good, starting stuff from the likes of Santana, Tyler Duffey, Tommy Milone, Kyle Gibson and Phil Hughes, if healthy. The bullpen has been a roller coaster ride from being fairly good to fairly bad and back and forth and up and down, so it is up to the starters to get to into the seventh or so and help the Twins get to the playoffs.

It is a lot to ask, but they are just another part of the team that has overachieved so far, so it is not really asking for a whole lot more.
