Minnesota Timberwolves: 5 players to watch this Wolves season

Speaking of young, Minnesota’s own Tyus Jones is an interesting one to watch for the Wolves. Jones was stuck in a hard spot after Duke won the national championship this past spring. Jones could really have used another year or two of college tuning, but his stock was probably never going to be as high as it was after Duke’s run. It was a double-edged sword for Jones.
Jones is now in Minnesota, on a roster that has Andre Miller and Ricky Rubio, and he might not truly be ready for NBA action. There was talk about Jones being sent to the NBA’s D-League before training camp really fired up which is a little concerning just to begin with.
I don’t know what to expect from Tyus in year one. Rubio is the starter. Miller will got some playing time at the point. Zach LaVine will probably get some minutes there too. Having four guys split one position is not a whole lot of time.
Hopefully, Tyus can find success in the NBA, but it might be coming in his rookie season in Minnesota.
