The Minnesota Vikings are going to be taking on the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

The New York Giants won on Monday night and the victory kept the Giants right in the thick of things in the highly… ummm… contested NFC East. With the Giants being in the chase and the Minnesota Vikings being in the chase for a Wild Card spot or maybe even a division title has made the NFL flex the game to primetime to Sunday Night Football in two weeks.

The Eli ManningTeddy Bridgewater gunslinger fest that America needs to see will be seen in every home across America. America is weird.

With their victory on Monday night, the Giants now sit at a record of 6-7 which puts them in a three-way tie for the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Redskins. The Vikings are currently at 8-5, a game behind the Green Bay Packers for the lead in the NFC North, but the Vikings are two games ahead of a flock of 6-7 teams that are jockeying for a Wild Card berth.

More from Minnesota Vikings

This Sunday, the Giants will be looking to hand the Carolina Panthers their first loss of the season with an early Sunday game from the Meadowlands. In the same time slot, the Vikings will be playing host to the division rival Chicago Bears. The coming Sunday night game is a tilt between a bunch of birds with the Arizona Cardinals flying into Pennsylvania to take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

So to recap, on Sunday, December 27, the Vikings will take on the New York Giants in primetime on Sunday Night Football on NBC. Kickoff from TCF Bank Stadium is now scheduled for 7:30.
