Captain Munnerlynhas been awarded the Performance of the Week award for his game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night.
Another week, anotherBridgestone Performance of the Week awardfor a Minnesota Vikings defender. That’s what we all really hope for each week, right? A victory from our favorite team and for someone from said team to get an award sponsored by people who produce tires. I know that’s what I want.
Captain Munnerlyn is this week’s lucky recipient for a nice game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night which resulted in a Vikings victory with the victory an NFC North championship, too. It was a big game.
Munnerlyn’s performance did help the Vikings to victory. Late in the third quarter, Packers QBAaron Rodgerswas hit by defensive endEverson Griffenwhich caused a fumble. Munnerlyn scooped up the ball and ran it back to the house for a Vikings touchdown, one of only two touchdowns in the game for the Purple.
