In Conclusion, the Minnesota Timberwolves have multiple options or directions they could go in the upcoming NBA Draft. The prospects linked to the team are mainly outside shooters, as this was the team’s biggest downfall last season. There are two prospects who could fill this need, along with not being a reach at the 5th pick.

Buddy Hield and Jamal Murray are players with similar skill sets. The main difference in the two would be age. Some see Murray as the prospect with the higher upside as he is only 19. Others see Hield as a better fit for this team, as he would be closer to a finished product and more ready to play, if not the most NBA-ready prospect in this draft.

Next: Jimmy Butler to Minnesota?

With a new front office, we do not know what to expect. The resume of Thibodeau and Layden deserves the trust of the fan base to make the right decision, no matter what direction they decide to go. Thibodeau has a vision for this team and no one really knows what that is yet, but we will know soon enough.
