Danielle Hunter Comes Back to Camp With Some Extra Punch

People are already expecting a big season out of Danielle Hunter. After getting drafted last season in the third round, Hunter had a breakout season in a backup role with six sacks. He is expected to take the next step this season.

Coming out of LSU last season, Hunter was a very raw prospect that did not receive a lot of pre-draft hype. Zimmer and Rick Spielman saw a talented prospect with the size and athleticism to be a productive player at the next level. After only posting four sacks in his whole career at LSU, Hunter posted six last season and is expected to keep getting better.

More from Minnesota Vikings

Hunter showed up to camp with seven extra pounds of muscle and is said to look like a greek god. He is still growing into his body and is stronger than ever. This offseason Hunter spent the offseason working out in Houston, alongside Adrian Peterson and Tom Johnson.

Playing behind Brian Robison last season, Hunter flourished in a situational role. This season, with Robison just turning 33, Hunter could take over the starting role at the defensive end opposite Everson Griffen. The Vikings defensive line is going to be an unstoppable force this season, filled with top-tier talent.
